INVITATION
Located
in the northwest border area of China, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region stands
at the hinterland of Eurasia, with over 5600km stretch of frontier. Xinjiang
was an important thoroughfare of ancient Silk Road in history, and today it has
become the vital line on the second Eurasian Continental Bridge. It borders on
Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Mongolia, India, and
Afghanistan; in the domestic, it is adjacent to Gansu, Qinghai, and Tibet.
It
has boundless desert, magnificent mountains, beautiful lakes, vast grasslands,
primeval forests, and peculiar elegant red landforms…which make a beautiful
picture of charming travel scenery of Xinjiang.
Xinjiang

noodles、Sauté
spicy chicken、roast
Nang (a kind of flat bread)、Baked buns、Sanzi and so on. Such unique flavored foods are
nutrient-rich, pure taste, affordable, and convenient to eat.
Xinjiang
is the home to fresh fruits and a paradise for shopping.
There
are famous jade and nephrite, Karamay Jinsi jade; exquisitely Hotan carpets,
artistic handicrafts like Yengisar knives; there are watermelons, Hami melons,
grapes, pears, pomegranates, Xinjiang almond, figs, flat peaches and other
fragrant fruits; there are famous cotton, hops, lavender and valuable medicinal
herbs such as Saussurea involucrata, fritillaria, pilose antler, which can
treat various diseases.
Xinjiang
is hometown of singing and dancing. The ethnic people, like Uyghur, Kazak,
Kirgiz, Tajik, Mongolian, Xibe, Manchu, Uzbeks and Tatar, who live in here are
cheerful, outgoing, free-spirited and good at both singing and dancing.

As
the host city of China Xinjiang International Tourism Commodities Fair this
year, Karamay is located in the middle of the Xinjiang Tourism Northern Line.
Karamay
is the transliteration of Uyghur language, meaning “black oil". It is the
only city in the world that is named with oil. Located in the northwest edge of
Dzungaria Basin in Xinjiang, established in 1958, now it is the
prefecture-level city of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The total area of
the whole city is more than 7,700 square kilometers, with the population of
over 450.000 people.
Karamay
is the holy place of oil in new China. On Oct.29, 1955, the first large oil
field of new China was borne here, its splendid pioneering achievements is
praised as "a moving myth", its beautiful name is also known to the
areas on both sides of the Changjiang River, Well-known both at home and abroad
along with the song “The Song of Karamay”. Today’s Karamay has formed a
comprehensive oil and chemical production base integrating oil and gas
exploration development, oil reserve, refining and chemical industry, project
designing, project construction, technical service, manufacture, transportation
and communication, electricity generating and water supply and so on.
Karamay
is an elegant city suitable for inhabiting. It has perfect urban public
infrastructure and public utility with beautiful environment, and people are
leading a moderate life. Its economy is full of vitality, environment full of
charm, society prosperous and harmonious, people are on easy street. Karamay
has won the titles one after another as "National Sanitary City",
"National Industrial Tourist Demonstration Site", "the National
Garden City", "China's Excellent Eco-cultural Tourism City"

Karamay
is a tourism city full of charm. It has profound oil culture, and the
extra-large petrochemical industry construction is spectacular and famous both
at home and abroad: the typical Yadan landform tourist scenic spot - the world
ghost town is so beautiful and fascinating; the world geological wonder-black
oil mountain, is rare and famous in the world: the city landscape is marvelous
and charming.
Karamay

State supports Xinjiang's great-leap-forward development and keeps lasting

the theme of The Attractive Xinjiang, the
Wonderful gift, the 2013 China Xinjiang International Tourism Commodities
Fair will be hold from Aug. 16th to 20th in Karamay exhibition center. Current
tourism commodities fair which relies on advantages in the resources of
Asia-Europe Expo, will carry on the past and open a way for future. In order to
promote in-depth cooperation and achieve mutual benefit, the exhibition is
aspired to be a wealth bridge between tourism commodities production
enterprises and purchasers at home and aboard.
The

The
first China Xinjiang Tourist Commodities Fair was organized by the China
Tourist Association, the Tourism Administration of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous
Region and the people's government of the Karamay city, sponsored by the
Tourist Association of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the Tourism
Administration of the Karamay city.
The
exhibition was the first comprehensive tourism products exhibition hold in
Xinjiang. It combines goods display, exchange transactions, cooperative
development, and image advertising in one. In the meanwhile, it became an
important stage, on which the tourism commodities inside and outside Xinjiang
could be display, the whole tourism industry could communicate deeply, and each
tourism regions could reach cooperation.
The
grand opening of the first China Xinjiang Tourist Commodities Fair in Karamay
exhibition center on Aug.10th last year attracted exhibitors from
more than ten provinces and cities which included Shandong, Shanghai, Fujian,
and Guangdong to participate in. The total amount of exhibitors reached 320
with 418 booths, and over 1,600 participants. The exhibition attracted 141,000
visitors per day; brought together a large number of professional buyers; the
transactions reached 36 million Yuan. It has been the largest tourism commodities
exhibition in Xinjiang so far with which the largest number of exhibitors and
the most abundant and prominent characteristics.
During
the exhibition, more than 50 journalists from over 38 both inside and outside
Xinjiang news media (including CCTV, China Tourism News, Xinjiang Daily, and
Xinjiang TV) came to Karamay. CCTV news channel broadcasted news about the
exhibition. A lot of mainstream media reported more than 200 articles and major
websites published related information over 3 million.
The
2012 China Xinjiang Tourism Commodities Fair, as its success, further promoted
the sustained development by leaps and bounds, which was attracting
investment and social economy. The exhibition not only promoted the city image
of Karamay so that enhanced the popularity and influence power of karamay at
home and abroad, but also made the city brand such as "World Oil City”
“China western tourism resort” toward the whole country and all over the world.
The exhibition improved the research and development level of Xinjiang tourism
commodities; pushed forward the process of industrialization, marketization and
internationalization in tourism commodity. It would certainly have far-reaching
impacts on strengthening the industry images of tourist economy and modern service,
promoting transformation and upgrading of tourist industry; accelerating the
construction of Xinjiang western tourism resort.
